Primary Care Specialists
Laura Leigh Buisson, O.D.
Dr. Buisson, from Thibodaux, has been practicing for 16 years and proud owner of Chiasson Eyecare Center since 2021. She graduated from Louisiana State University and completed her optometry training at University of Alabama at Birmingham. She did her residency in Primary Care Optometry at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans.
Dr. Buisson is therapeutic certified and specializes in primary care optometry, contact lens, cataract and glaucoma evaluations.
Dexter Hebert, OD
Dr. Hebert, born and raised in Chackbay, got his undergraduate degree from Nicholls State University and completed his optometry training at University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has been an associate at Chiasson Eyecare Center for 5 years.
Dr. Hebert is therapeutic certified and specializes in primary care optometry, contact lenses, cataracts, dry eye, and glaucoma evaluations.
Logan Collins, OD
Dr. Collins, from Larose, received his undergraduate degree from Nicholls State University and received his optometry degree at University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 2025.
Dr. Collins is therapeutic certified and specializes in primary care optometry, contact lenses & specialty contact lenses, cataracts, dry eye, and glaucoma evaluations.
Camile L. Chiasson, O.D.
Dr. Chiasson founded Chiasson Eyecare Center in 1981. He served the bayou community for 40 years and retired in 2021.
